Venice
We arrived in Venice on Friday 14 after some interesting GPS directions (We think our GPS may need to be updated with the latest maps!)
We met up with our Vantour friends Logan and Michelle near Bologna (about 2hrs south of Venice) and we arrived at our camp site, Fusina (on the mainland) around 1pm. We decided to take it easy and spent the rest of the day catching up on our travel stories.
We spent the next 3 days walking the streets of Venice and the island, Murano. We spent way too much time in jewelry shops and eating gelato. As for Venice itself; very touristy, very pricey, very hot (38), quite clean (contradictory to what we have heard).
 
 
That’s information overload but I still enjoyed reading it
I hadn’t read your blog for a while so I don’t even know where to begin. I’ll just leave you with various dot points.
*How dare that travel agent not know where Macedonia is!! PFFT! LOL
*I’d rather have a street in Italy named Anche then have a detergent product with the same name as me.. sorry to Merita.
*You guys a rebels, getting told off by the tour guide. Just stick with the god damn program it’s not hard! haha
*I know Hamish has a lot of patients – BUT Violeta on the other hand, you re the complete opposite my dear I don’t know how your managing with all the little set backs on the way. Driving 3 hours through Tirane and its mountain ranges avoiding pot holes along the way to only be shut down! And that’s just 1 of many! EG; waitig in line for 2 hours to see Michelangelo’s statue of David. I have to hand it to you! But I guess these are the kinds of thing’s that will make this trip all the more memorable.
* I noticed in your Pamplona photo’s that you (Violeta) are the only one wearing a red singlet out of the whole crowd. Three words – ARE YOU CRAZY?! LOL I wouldn’t wear any red so the bull stays the hell away from me haha
Anyways enough about YOUR holiday. I’m going to Sydney in Feb for 4 days. Then about 10 days later I leave for THAILAND!! Flights were really cheap for then – that’s why we got them otherwise we would have loved to come in December.
